Im still battling a (too much cuurent) problem in my 42 hex running 2 1050 korallias 1 on 1 off on 5 minute intervals all they do is blow sand around no matter wich way i postion them.Is there a way to de tune them to slow them down?Or should i be looking for 2 new powerheads?550's or 750's?Its driving me nuts!!!

I would try positioning them lower in the tank and point them upwards a little bit. I have 2 1050's in my 75 gallon on a smartwave and only one pump is on at a time. When I turn both of them on at the same time it blows the sand around. You may need to get the next size down.

The hex tank is totally different from rectangular tanks thats ive owned in the past. The design dosent take that much current to get things moving in it.A 45 long im sure that these would work fine in it.Might have to ebay these there only 2 weeks old.
