Skimmer Comparison
I was looking at three different skimmers. I was looking at the Reef Octopus as they seem to have great reviews. I was looking at the SRO1000sss as my sump is rather small and I want a decent sized refugium. The only problem is that it is expensive. The NWB150 which I like because it is low price and rated for more than the SRO1000sss. And lastly, the NWB200 which is medium priced, rated for the most, but has a big footprint. The tank will be a 90 gallon with a moderate bio load.
P.S. Is there any problem with copepods being sucked up by the skimmer instead of the return to the aquarium? I have an Eshopps sump and any layout ideas would be appreciated. |

The SSS skimmers are not that much smaller in footprint than the SRO's. There is only 1" difference in the length, width and height are the same. The NWB 150 is an SRO 1000 with the OTP pump. I would go with the SRO 1000.

The sump is an Eshopps Rs-200. Its dimensions are 30" x 12" x 16" H.
