Aquariumplants.com Regulator

I'm for a regulator for my MRC-2 calcium reactor that I'm setting up. From all the reviews I've seen the Aquariumplants.com electronic regulator is probably the best cost effective option.

Are there any others worth looking into? And should I be buying anything else to go along with the reactor like check valves or anything else?

Check valve is built into the AP regulator. I have owned them, and they are great. Easy to setup and dial in, and rock steady from that point. Others with a more traditional look would be any of the ones from GreenLeafAquariums. I have not used any of them, but they use high quality needle valves, and that is what makes or breaks a good regulator. But, with a 3 year warranty on the AP one, its hard to beat that. They do stand behind it as well. I had one I bought used locally have a sticking gauge that would click every 15 seconds or so. They comletely replaced it with a newer model.

Aquarium Plants is the best regulator on the market.

No need to look further. AP is the best. I use the MRC CR2 Dual reactor.

How big a system are you using it on? I've got about 400 gallons of water...would it be large enough? Its just starting up so very few corals at this point

450g worth of display. Mostly SPS & LPS.

Works just fine. I use ARM regular sized media.
