Manifold pics?

Hi all, I currently have an Eheim 1262 return pump on my 120 DT, 30 gallon sump. I also have a couple of small pumps running GFO & carbon reactors. I'd like to build a manifold off the Eheim to run the reactors so I only have maintenance on one pump instead of 3. I'd like to see some pics of manifolds so I can get an idea of the parts I would need. Thanks

here's what I did

plan

actual

since this picture was taken I have hooked up my Ca reactor to the far right valve and a Nitrate media reactor to the far left valve. So 4 reactors in total from left to right; Nitrate media, GFO, Bio pellets, Ca reactor. Most of them are turned down to a slow flow except the bio pellets that have a pretty strong flow. I run a MAG 12 return pump

Nice set up, whats the advantage of keeping the manifold feed tee off below water level?

As long as the inlet to the manifold and tubes out from the reactors are below the water level it wont drain and fill with air. The advantage is when you feed with the return pump off not getting air in the manifold means no burbing of air through the media when the pump kicks back on.

Ahh, I assume your discharge from you reactors are submerged while in use then?

Thanks for the pics. I went to flexpvc.com and found a ready made 4-port manifold. 1" diameter with four 1/2" ports. Along with that I ordered some 1/2" ball valves, 1/2" barb spigots and some clamps. Also got a barb spigot that's 1" slip to 3/4" barb to connect the 3/4" hose from the pump to the 1" manifold. I should be good to go. I'll have to see if the 900 GPH Eheim 1262 can handle 2 reactors (GFO & Carbon) and still have enough left for the return.

IMO, I think you'll need a stronger pump.

OK, I ordered and received all the parts already from flexpc.com. I am going to assemble it this weekend. I am looking at pumps if I need some additional GPH to run everything. Although I like the Eheim 1262 that I have, I will probably need more than 900 GPH. Here are my options: Waterblaster HY5000W, 1300GPH, 60 watts, 11 ft head. Mag MD12, 1200 GPH, 110 watts, 13.5 ft head. Quietone 5000, 1400 GPH, 115 watts, 11.6 ft head. Using only 60 watts and producing 1300 GPH, I think the waterblaster is my best bet. Anybody have any comments about this pump? Thanks

look up the laguna 1500 pond pump. If you take the pond housing off, it looks like a regular pump.

Here's mine. Pump is a Blueline 55 HD. Outlet tees off to a Phosban 550 reactor and splits for the dual returns. Unions on inlet and outlet of pump and Individual ball and gate valves on each split line so flow can be precisely controlled or shut off completely if needed.

Not much room in those small cube stands
Eheim 1262, tees off to 2 BRS reactors ( GFO and Carbon ) plus one spare...plenty of flow to spare.
