Good skimmer. Might not produce a whole lot on a light bioload.

has anyone had experience with a terrible squealing noise from the pump? I bought used and ran for two days, no issue, then holly crap what a noise. not sure if you are suposed to lubricate anything? the guy said it had new seal already?
sure hope to turn it back on soon!

No lube but if squealing it sounds like bad bearings in the motor.
That is not good. Contact reeflo, you might need to send it in for repair. Hopefully its just the seals going bad but I have never heard them squeal. Which model pump does it have?

Its the gold, Baldor motor. Took the impeller assembly apart, shaft not spinning freely. Contacted Reeflo and mailing in the pump today. Sounds like it will still be covered under warranty? If so I am really excited, its an older pump, so as long as I get a quiet and efficient pump. Now if I can just figure out if its a 250 or a 200.

Call Reeflo and order a set of bearings. If you're even semi-handy with basic tools you'll be able to replace the motor bearings yourself. I'd go ahead and order an extra set so you'll have them for the next time on hand if needed. That's the nice thing about these motors, they can keep being rebuilt over time instead of having to purchase a new one.
