Hair algae in fuge??

My params are good so I'm not to woried about a big blume. I have 18w led flood light on 24/7 so I'm guessing that's the reason for the growth. I don't have any growing in the DT.

Should I pull it out or just let it grow??

Total growth is about the size of a baseball. It has Totaly covered my macro so I'm guessing I'll just call it a loss. I'm waiting for warmer weather to order more macro because my last order got really cold and I lost about half.

No you dont want HA growing in your fuge. Clean it out and Try a reverse light cycle. Also ordering macro if shipped properly is a breeze. Cold should not Be an issue.

it won't hurt in there, but as mentioned above I would change your lighting on times from 24-7 to a 12 hour period for starters, it may well reduce back a bit with the change and as your water quality improves you may be able to manually remove it if you want to and it may not come back, the hair algae growing in there is consuming nutrients which is aiding it's growth, so it is acting as a macro algae at the moment and out of sight, personally I wouldn't worry too much about it in the fudge.

I'll keep monitoring it's growth and as it spreads I'll pull some out.

It was to cold for the macro in my last order. I lost more than half of it and I only ordered a little just to feel out the company and see how much and what quality it was. It was my falt because of the hours I was working I waved the sign on delivery option an it was sitting outside for some time. I think I'll just order some more today and have it shipped to my work. My work station is about 20' from receiving so I'll let them know it's coming and I'll keep it warm this time around.

Look into a local club. Where I live there are several guys who post up on our club website that they are harvesting chaeto if anybody wants it, they can have it for free. My nutrients are so low my chaeto doesn't grow!
