Feeding Question

How much should I feed the tank (I plan to use frozen only Mysis, Brine) for the following:

1 Ocellaris Clown (currently have)
1 Yellow watchman (don't have yet)

Should I feed daily? If so how much?

I feed mine 4 times a day. For 2 fish you don't need to feed much. Normally feed as much as can be consumed in 5 min.

I feed my clowns every second day. They are the only fish I have in my main tank.

Frozen brine shrimp doesn't have much nutrient value. It's OK to have as part of the diet, but I'd add aomething else, like a quality flake food. As shaginwagon said, no more than they can finish off in 5 minuts. I have 17 fish in my 2 tanks and I feed once a day in the morning and sometimes/often skip a day. I've even skipped 2 and have seen no harm other than they are really hungry when I do feed the next day!

I just throw small portions in at a time, whether it's flake, frozen, etc. (one feeding session a day) It's usually consumed in a matter of seconds. I might do this 7 or 8 times but 98% of the food I'm putting in the tank is being consumed. I've been known to feed those smaller NLS pellets 2 or 3 at a time. I couldn't imagine throwing so much food in at once to where it takes the fish 5 minutes to eat it. That's kind of dangerous IMO.

I would definitely mix up their food some as was said. I use some pellets for mine and I feed once a day. How often you feed varies on whom you ask. I've heard everything from every other day to 4-5 times a day.

I agree, I usually feed the tank a few times a day with smaller amounts (consumed in 15 seconds or so). In the evening when I feed my tank heavily they consume the food in a couple of minutes. For the OP I would start with the equivalent of a small pinch of food and see how long it takes them to eat it. Youll soon get a grasp of how much food they need in no more than 2/3 min.

I feed 2-4 times a day. Each serving is consumed within 30-45 seconds. Mysis and New Life Spectrum pellets are a good combo IMO.
