hello i am new to this hobby
hi everyone i have just go into the saltwater hobby so i dont know that much and just had what looks like a soft coral pop out of one on my live rocks and im not sure exactly what it is a little help? thanks

it's apthasia it's is a pest and will sting other corals around it and will take over your tank if it gets the chance. get it out as soon as possible. I personally use aphasia-x but i am sure there are many other ways.

That is aptasia which is an anemone and very invasive so you will want to get rid of any that are in your tank

It looks like an aiptasia anemone. They are pest anemonies. You will want to get rid of it asap.
Lemon Juice or boiling water in a syringe works. Place the syringe needle in the mouth of the anemone when it is open and push the fluid in. Should kill it then. |

Aptasia for sure boiling water will work awesome to kill it
On another note why do you have that macro in there? Its going to take over your tank

Don't just cut it off!!! If you do, where ever the sliced piece (or pieces) land, it will grow new ones. Do the remedies mentioned above with a syringe.

I saw one of those the very next day I started the cycle. Noted the spot. Took the rock right out. The aiptasia retracted. Burned the spot with a lighter for about 1 minute. Put the rock back in. Haven't seen it back. Yet.
