40 breeder sump build - what length to have glass cut
I'm building a 40 breeder sump and would like to know exactly what size I should make the baffles as far as the width of the tank goes

I had my lfs make mine for me but I believe you're supposed to have them cut 1/8 inch short so there's a 1/16 inch gap on each side. Maybe someone else can confirm or correct that.

that sounds about right, a 1/16" gap on both sides leaves about the right amount of room for the silcone
I suggest you use 1/4" plate glass

Is it better to measure the length of the existing side panel an subtract an 1/8" to be exact on measurements? Or is there a better way?
