Dual 40g Breeder's

Tried a search but came up empty.

I am curious if anyone has tried to set up two tanks, not necessarily 40 breeders, right next to each other. I could run a reef tank and an aggressive tank along side each other.

This is all I have found thus far:

Does anyone have experience with this or links to people who have tried it?

You can easily share the same sump and return pump / filtration.

There we go! Thanks for sharing. Do you have each tank separated by type of inhabitants?

Yes, I went with different ideas but finally settled on the following:

Left 40 breeder - almost a planted tank with large amounts of macro and home to a pair of orange-spotted filefish, a pair of black leopard wrasses, a meleagris leopard, a SI WC percula with her anemone, and several rock-flower and maxi-mini anemones.

Center cube - home of a haddoni carpet anemone with a pair of GSM clowns.

Right 40 breeder - traditional reef tank with LPS and zoas / palys and more wrasses.

TOTM last Nov 2011 was multi-tank - http://reefkeeping.com/joomla/index....k-of-the-month

I'm actually thinking of doing a multi-tank (same sump/filtration). I now have a 120 reef but would like to add a 40breeder for butterflys and dwarf angels or other species I could/would not add to my main tank.
