tank transfer method

Ive been seeing that method being mentioned in a lot of posts. Wouldn't netting a fish every few days be stressful on it? What if it stops eating for the entire process because it keeps getting moved around? How many people here use that method and what are your experiences? I'm thinking about purchasing a second QT for this method, but I'm still unsure.

Not sure I understand why you would move a fish every couple days.

I used it and after the first couple of times they didn't seem to mind it a bit. It is the only treatment I would use now, I think it is the simplest and least likely to screw up. I used a specimen container and not a net and two Rubbermaid containers.

Is there a link so I can read about it? Although I've never had to deal with ich (knock on wood) I have read about copper and hypo.
