Almost 3 Month old Tank--Posible ICH
Everything has been going great for the past 2 months. Ive been going very slow with everything. I have a three stiped damsel, carpenter flasher wrass, Coco Worm, Purple reef lobster, and a few snails. Last Thursday i bought a purple dottyback, and a yellow tail damsel. Since then, my dotty back now has ICH. Im going to build a QT tonight to save the rest of the tank.
Heres a few bad pictures from my cell phone... It's hard to tell from the tank whether they have ICH or not. I would highly suggest bringing the QT online and running it hypo (SG of 1.009) for 6 weeks before introducing ANY fish.

durring the time of these pictures, they did not show ich. as of today, only the purple dottyback is showing ich.
Should i qt all fish or only the ones that show ich? |

You will need to Qt all the fish for 6 weeks of hypo treatment and you will need to leave your Dt fish less for 6 to 8 weeks so the ich dies in there also.

You will quickly learn that you have to treat them all. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there.
You can choose to chance it, but it will always be there waiting to attack. Each time you want to add a new fish, you will be wondering if a new round of ich will show. Do a proper QT now, and for all subsequent fishes. If you get it right, you'll never see ich again. Just make sure to choose a plan and stick to it. |

you have to QT all your fish and treat them in QT accordingly with one of the "3" methods (copper, hyposalinity, or tank swapping). and your main tank has to be fallow (without any fish) for 8 weeks.
