torture at work

I got my first shipment from bluezoo this morning (royal gramma & zoa colony). Kudos to FedEx for such a fast delivery but I don't get off for another 3 hours! This is torture lol! I figured they would of delivered it later, about the time when I get off. Oh well. I opened the box to make sure the gramma wasn't doa and he was fine. I quickly closed the box and its just sitting in my office. I'm counting down lol.

Can't say you have an emergency at home and run back for a bit?

Sounds like you need a tank set up at work.

This happened to me once. Got a Delivery... 2 Firefish 5 Hours of work to go. I went downstairs to petco at lunch bought a 2.5g Critter Carrier Set. 29.99 Set it up and purchased 2 Gal of premixed SW at petco and a battery operated bubbler. Set it up on my desk at work turned on the bubbler worked till 8pm that night.. (another 3 hours on top of the 5 lol.. and carried the entire critter carrier home with me.

Been using that critter carrier now to transport frags and corals. Add 25/50w heater and your golden.

Just sit there and comfort the fish

I love that I always have the option to work at home for deliveries.

I prefer early deliveries. I'd much rather have the box sit in my office all day than getting tossed around in the back of a delivery truck.

Now it would be pretty bad if your boss also surfs Reef Central while at work and is checking out this thread at this very instant.

But then maybe he would understand the how hard the reefing bug bites!

The world is a small place, and the internet connects us pretty well. I wonder how many people from Jacksonville, FL, are on this site that I have actually met in person, bought frags from, or even gave frags to. I am willing to bet there a few.

LOL thanks for the offer psirex! Well said Peter T, it truely is a small world, if I did do that somehow it would come back to bite me

Well, I am home and the new tank inhabitants are in. The royal gramma is doing well in my 10g QT. He was cowering in a corner but is coming out to explore.

Due to a setback with my other primary vendor, my coral dip did not come in today So...... I had to place the zoa colony in my MT w/out dipping /gasp! (I did use latex gloves for safety). I did notice that I had 5, yes 5!, stometallas drop off the colony as soon as it hit the sand bed. I also noticed some very small bristleworms and pods. Hopefully I will be ok, I had every intention of adding my first coral (and subsequent corals) by dipping.

If I am in the office I can come and go as I please. FedEx usually shows up early at businesses. I just take an early long lunch.
