Video of my 240 Gallon Tank

So my tank is finally running. It still has barely any fish but let me know your thoughts?

Looks very nice. Didn't see any power heads. What are you using to create flow?

I have a large Iwaki pump that creates a good amount of flow. I might add a wavemaker?

I'm a low maintance guy. I wanted to setup my tank and get cool fish. I want to do puffers and triggers which you cannot with a reef tank. I like the fish more than the corals. Just me
Though.

Would you recommend dosing with cooper for a fish only?

Very nice tank!

Do not dose copper even though yours is FO, since you have fake corals that will absorb copper and make treatment difficult. Only perform disease treatments in a QT.

Hopefully you have a QT and are quarantining new fish and perform prophylactic treatments. This is essential to guarantee success of this hobby.

That is a really nice tank. I like the shape of it. Your fish are looking like they are enjoying it also. Nice!

Understood, but in a few months time the coraline algae will start to grow and cover all of those corals. You'll need to remove them periodically and do a vinegar bath to remove the coraline.

I am using LED lights only at certain times of the day. So there should not be any coralline algae growing.

So cooper is a bad idea. Would you say I need a Uv sterilizer?
Or should I be ok?

copper is definitely a good idea, just that it needs to be done in a QT without decorations.

UV sterilizer does very little for eliminating parasites. it has merits for algae control on the other hand.

Could I ask you where you purchased the fake coral insert? I'm doing a FOWLR also and would like to do something similar. I see there are several different vendors out there selling fake coral. Your's looks great. Jerry.

I will say for fake coral, yours is one of the better setups I've seen. Nice looking tank...
