Overflow to sump and refuge?

Setting up a 125 predrilled and the tank comes with one 30 gal sump. I was strongly encouraged to purchase an additional as to not over work the sump. The idea would be to have them running side by side directly under the tank.
( I like the idea of having a a sump and refuge separated)
Anyone have any suggestions on the overall problems with running one overflow box to one and the other overflow box to another?

is there a better way to go about this?
