Well if you don't care about spending the extra $300 or so buy new. I have been burned a few times with buying used. I am starting to become a believer in buying everything new.

I like option 2. Two lighting fixtures on a tank that is about 36" long would be nice.

My vote is for #1. I have three radion and absolutly love them. They produce a very nice color spectrum and the controlability (Dont think I spelled that right lol) is awesome on them. You wont be disapointed.

My vote is for option 1. It all depends on the size of the tank and what you really want to keep though. I like the option of having the lights and pump be able to communicate.

get "controllable" powerheads if you can. ones that are compatible with a wavemaker for example. looking back I wish I would have purchased those when I was in the market...

Not with only 1 of either. AI puts out more light spread and has more power but I think the radion put out better color. MP10 maybe too small also. I have a mp40 on a 36" tank running 50%, by choice but nice to turn it up if necessary

my vote is ecotech's radions and their pumps since they have the wireless feature and they are fully upgradeable.
