Laguna 2400 pond pump

Hey so I heard about this pump from the guy i bought my chiller from and im curious about it. Its a 2400 gph pump that sells fir like $150 so its a steal. The only issue is that the outlet port isnt standard and it takes a little bit of DIY to get it to work. Has anyone done this that can give me some guidance?

They have a adapter for like 5 bucks that turns it into standard pvc.
