I know somewhere in the many pages of reading I probably saw the answer but......will I be able to have some types of corals with a 4bulb T5 that is on a standard 55 gal tank? Thank you

it would depend on what type of bulbs and reflectors. If you want SPS, you have to put it really on top and LPS and softies can be around middle or up.

I have a ATI sunpower 6x54watts over a standard 75 gallons. When I run only 4 bulbs, its kind of too dark. If you haven't bought the tank yet, consider a 75 gallons with corner overflow. Light that with a 6x54 watts T5 would be a perfect match.
