Building a 10 gal sump w/overflow... Ideas??
Hi!
I am planning on building a 10 gal sump for my 30 gal display tank. What would you guys use to construct an overflow and what type of return pump would you use? Any ideas/ suggestions would be great! |

bean animal overflow. return pump will vary depending on head loss. if you can fit a 20g long, i would recommend that instead of a 10g. they are longer and easier to fit junk inside. you'll also add to your total water.

Here's a picture of the 10 gallon tank I'm using as a sump. It's pretty basic. I'm using an Eshopps overflow box on the DT, a modified Seaclone skimmer, an Aquaclear heater, a Kent float valve, (ATO) and a Rio 2500 as a return pump. The skimmer might not be the best but everything else has been real good to me. HTH.
