Aquarium stand
I got my new stand today and i was wondering if I need to put some piece of ply wood or styrofoam between the aquarium and the stand. I saw some people have there tanks sitting directly on a steel stand without even a brace at the top of the stand. What do you guys think?

I would probably put a piece of plywood and then a cork sheet down before putting the tank on the stand.

If it is made for aquariums, then I would just use as is. Unless the tank manufacturer states otherwise, plastic trimmed tanks that are supported on all edges should not have anything between it and the stand. Plywood would be fine, but unnecessary if the stand is ok.

The stand was custom made by a welder. and the tank custom made by a glass shop
