Frogspawn about gone

I moved my 4 headed frogspawn into a QT around a month ago as it was not doing well in the DT. 3 of the 4 heads just didn't do well or open much or at all and the 4th opened up all the way. Today one of the heads has come out of the rock and it just sitting there. Not sure what to do at this point. I think I should just put it back into the DT and see what happens (the whole FS). I took it out due to sky high nitrates in the DT which are at 0 in the QT. I do not have tests for kalk or mag so I can't tell you what those are. But I am using newly made SW so I would think the levels are adequate. Of course all RO/DI with TDS of 0. 0 ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.

I started dosing Kent Marine Coral-Vite. I also have a Zoa which is doing great. I thought perhaps there was something chemical going on between the Zoa and FS but moving the FS has made no difference.

well to keep things straight. there is no test kit for kalk, if u are dosing kalk u need test kits for calcium and alkalinity. mag is also required to check if u are keeping corals.
coral vite is trace elements. and my general rule is if u cant test it dont dose it. if u keep up with ur water changes about 30% per month you dont need to dose that coral vite.
if i was you please test and post following results then we can go further.

1. size of tank
2. lights on tank and schedule
3. temp
4. ph
5. salinity
6. cal
7. alk
8. mag

Edit:sorry i didnt read ur signature. if its the same tank just test for rest and post results. thanks

you need those tests. It's probably an alkalinity difference (I believe you're thinking alk, but are writing kalk,,which is a way to MAINTAIN alk, which can really lead to some confusion!) ---
Save that popped head. Put it in a glass dish and fix your water to resemble mine (in my sig line) and it may grow a new skeleton.
