JBJ ATO Float Switch
Recently my float switch has been acting up. When I pull it out of the water and manually raise the float, the sensor disengages as it should, because that would mean the water level is back to normal. Then obviously when I release the float it drops and the pumps are engaged. However when I put it back in the water, I slide it down the chamber wall and into place (I use a suction cup to mount it), when it first barely engages the water the level water level sensor is turned off as it should, but I want it to be mounted a few cm lower. So I continue pushing it down (thinking that since the float switch is "floating" the low water level sensor should not be tripped) but then all of the sudden, when the float is at the top (at the max float position), the sensor trips and my ATO pump turns on, I don't get it?!

i would not use the suction cup, use the brackets. you have to play with it a bit to get the right level. i use a wood block to rise it a bit more. i just tested the fail safe that turns the pump off after 3 minutes; it did not work the pump kept going and the buzzer turned off? the dial that controls the fail safe only controls the buzzer, if i did not test this and the float failed the pump would never stop; i'm going to call jbj monday.....i will leave my judgement of this product until then....right now not happy.
