LPS/SPS Coral & Lighting - Radions & MH's?

So I drove over to a pet store about 60miles from me that had some Radion's hooked up, so I could see what they looked like. Talking with the fellow there, and he said he had the Radion's in his tank. The problem he was having, and he had them for over a year, was that with the Radions, he couldn't keep both Coral happy. It was either too much light for one, or not enough light for the other.

I was wondering if it's harder to keep both LPS/SPS in the same tank, if this problem is exclusive to Radion/LED people and if they've had similar problems, or if anyone having MH's has had the same issues? I would think MH's would put out the same light, and could it be more related to where he's putting his corals in his home tank?

Help with some guidance/experience, here, please. Thanks!
