Is it worth the wait?

I currently have a very cheap single bulb T8 fixture over my tank. It came with the 40 gallon breeder that I bought. My tank is still cycling and I plan to save up for a light while the tank cycles and until I get the hang of things with the fish. I was originally gonna get a cheaper T5HO fixture that would be enough for some Softie/LPS corals. Then I decided to spend some extra cash on something that will take my tank a long way, and decided I was going to save up for a ATI Sunpower 4 bulb unit. It wasn't long before I heard about the Kessil A350W coming out in May, so I decided to wait and get one of those because I would love to have the shimmer effect without the heat. I was reading today and it sounds like Kessil is coming out with a controllable fixture in 3-6 months. That would be awesome, but is it worth the wait? I am considering just going with the ATI fixture and getting it over with.

Would a single unit span your whole 40b? If so, I would definitely get that over t5's

I'm not sure. I am hoping that one Kessil A350W has the spread to cover a 36" tank. If not, then I am gonna have to go with the T5s. Still waiting for more info about it to be released

Why not 2 or 3 Par38 bulbs over it?
