Odd cycle question
So, my sump didn't go as planned. I'm starting my sump build from scratch.
I want to start my cycle now. Can I add dry rock, salt mixed water, turn on a power head, and feed ghost fish a very small amount per day? I plan on filling the tank 80% to keep it from going in the overflow. This way by the time my sump is done the tank's cycled. Good idea? Bad idea? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don't see why this couldn't be done, may cause some complications in getting the sump online, but it could be done.

Buddy told me to grab a few cheap kiddie pools and cycle them in the garage. Not a bad idea either I guess. Then I can freely move the tank around to plumb if needed.
Those Walmart pools have a pump with them as well. Low flow, but it all helps!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
