Brs carbon or chemipure elite
I've been using Chemipure carbon for about ten years now and was considering swiching to something new. I noticed alot of folks use the BRS Carbon 0.80. How would you rate these two(BRS ROX 0.80 vs Chemipure Elite)? are they relavtively the same? Planning to use it with a reactor. Btw this is for a fowlr tank with heavy bio and a Protein Skimmer.
thanks

I use the BRS too and like it a lot. However, my favorite carbon is ESV!
These carbons are in a different league than chemi pure elite. Good stuff also but I prefer to run my carbon in a reactor |

I switched from ChemiPure to BRS carbon about 5 years ago (after ~20 years of ChemiPure) and have not looked back. By it bulk - 5gallon bucket - it will last a long long time. I use it in a reactor in one system, in the other I use it in a canister filter. For the CF, I use reclaimed chemipure bags to put it in.

When you guys say you like it a lot, what specifically do you like? What do you notice that is better than chemipure?
