ATI 6 Bulb Dimmable Sunpower Bulb Combo?
Hey guys! I picked up a new 36'' 6 X 39watt ATI Dimmable Sunpower the other day and I'm absolutely loving it!
HOWEVER... I cannot seem to find anyone running the specific bulb combo I have, and I'm beginning to wonder if there is a reason for that and if it may have a negative impact on my livestock.. Tank dimensions: 36'' long, 12'' wide, less than 15'' from sandbed to surface. My bulbs are all ATI and are as follows from front to back. blue + purple + blue + blue + purple + blue + I can post a picture if enough people are interested. Just ask! I absolutely LOVE the color! But I'm a little worried about spectrum.. Essentially, my question is will running all actinic bulbs cause any negative issues with my corals? And will 2 purple bulbs cause any problems? I've read that too much red spectrum can cause bleaching in certain corals. I really like the color these bulbs are putting off, but I certainly don't want to bleach or brown out any of my corals.. especially my sps. The tank is an SPS dominated mixed reef with corals ranging from mushrooms and zoanthids to acroporas and montiporas. Any help would be much appreciated! And even better, if someone out there is running all blue and purple bulbs over their tank, I'd love to see a picture or hear their experiences. Thank you! |
