Exclamation My canister filter have inlet out let (adjustable) .. can i low the flow using them

My canister filter have adjustable inlet out let ..can i low them to slow the flow of the current ...
my filter is RESUN EF-1600 its huge for my tank .. but its doing well

Yes, you can restrict the flow on the outlet, never the inlet.

But is it really too much? What do you run in the canister?
