JBJ 28 LED Options
I have a JBJ 28 with the HQI hood and I want to convert it over to LEDs. What options do I have, and which one is the best? The three options I’ve found are:
JBJ LED hood at ca $379 - $400 - http://jbjnanocubes.com/contents/en-...ment-hood.html Rapidled retro that would fit directly into the hood at a cost of $225 (non dimmable) and $255 (dimmable). http://www.rapidled.com/nanocube-24/ And finally, I found reefledlights.com, but see nothing that bolts directly into the JBJ hood. Anyone have and opinion on what would be best? |

I guess I’m here talking to myself!
As I’ve given this thought, I’m leaning towards building a wood hood and installing a dimmable “Chinese” fixture that cost $165….Like this one. This is the most cost effective. |

You could try the Ecoxotic led Panorama Module's. With a little modding, they will easily fit in your hood and have a clean look when you're all done.

Why not? Did you have the LED hood?

I dont think any of these would fit directly on, but they are retrofit kits for popular nano tanks:
http://shop.stevesleds.com/Complete-...ckages_c22.htm Hopefully they give you some ideas. |
