ASM mini-g question

I have an ASM mini-g and I am about to upgrade my system to a 60g with 20g sump/fuge combo. I have around 80lbs live rock.
Live stock includes:
Bio load is fairly high?
Should I upgrade the skimmer as well or could this cover it for a while?

I have one on my 75. Skimmer is on my list of things to upgrade next. It works, but I find that the pump needs help every time I restart it. And this is the second one.
