vortech mp powerhead help

I have the chance to get a mp20 with controller for 100 bucks. Can someone tell why they were discontinued and are they as good as the 10 and mp40? I know they sell an upgrade kit to change it to a mp40 but i wanted some advice.

I have an MP20, it's the same size as the MP40, but has a different driver. They got rid of the 20 shortly after the MP10 came out, I'm guessing they just didn't feel the need for one between it and the 40.

Mp 10's are rated for 50 gallon, I'm not sure about the 20. But at that price if it works, its a great deal. You can't touch a 10 for that.

This is exactly why. No need for a power head that sits right in the middle of the flow rates of the MP10 and the MP40.
