My 90 gal used setup The Resurrection
Hi, everyone. I am setting up a 90 gal DT with a 30 Gal sump. I bought a used setup that needs to be completely cleaned up and setup. I plan to add to this thread as I finish different parts. I am doing this so maybe other noobs will learn and if the experienced reefer, see me doing something wrong they will help me correct the problem. I am DIY LED light and am Arduino controller too. I will be threading those here too.
So all are welcome to follow and any help would be fantastic. Here is the setup on my porch. One thing I found out, make sure you clean up and salt on yourstand, it just brings in water. Which seperated some of the wood. I am in the process of repairing. Last edited by Daka; 06/03/2012 at 07:54 PM. Reason: add pixs |

Well , been busy at work so things have slowed down Little. The Plywood and Formica has been cut for the bottom where the sump will go. Be sure you get all the salt out, it just pulls in more moisture. Should have those installed this week. Been playing with and learning the Arduino controller. Very interest part of this project.
Started to work on the LED light fixture. Was looking over the LEDs and drivers from Steve's LEDS. Very well made, packaging was excellent. Had several question on adding moon lights using his drivers. Answered email very fast and Steve does know his electrical stuff, was big help. Again tag along with questions or advise. Well been busy at work which is a good thing. I have the formica bottom placed in the sump area. Make sure ,if you get a used stand that you clean out the salt. It kept wicking moisture into the plywood.
Have been working on code for the Arduino and the DIY LED lights. [IMG][/IMG] More to come |

looks like a lot of fun. I just bought a used 54 gallon corner, and have resurrected it.
