Adding dry rock
I know there is probably 100 threads on this but can't find an answer. So I have a 6 gallon Fluval Edge nano reef with about 3lbs of rock. The tank is cycled and I want to add about 1-1.5lbs of dry shelf rock. Do I have to take any precautions or just rinse it thoroughly and drop it in? Will it start a mini cycle?

Personally, I would rinse it thoroughly and drop it in. Some people would put the rock in clean fresh water with some circulation and cure the rock for a couple weeks to get out some or most of the phosphates that may leach out though.
