Avast k1 w/ tunze ato
Anyone use the avast k1 kalk stirrer in line with the tunze ato?
Is a check valve necessary for possible back siphone? Does the tunze pump support this alright? |

Im using it on my tank now...I highly recommend the check valve, it slows the flow down quite a bit but it really helps the longevity of the pump from seizing due to the kalk...

ha you're from Mckinney, I got my degree at UNT. small world.. hey can you recommend a check valve that will stand up to RO water? Every check valve I have found has stainless steal bearing and spring.

We have these designed and made specifically for that. They also have stainless steel components, but they're made to withstand both kalk and straight RO or RODI.
