Bio pellet reactor. To add or not!!!!!!!!

So I just got a new reef octopuse bio pellet reactor. I feed pretty heavy and I like a lot of fish. That being said did I make a good call or not? And how can I set it up

I had the same question a while back and decided not to go with the bio pellets for now. There are so many opinions on this, but I'm sure if its done correctly ( correct dosage and flow) it works great. I was looking at the RO reactor as well. What pump did you get it with.

The best information I got so far is use half or even quarter of the recommended pellets in the reactor at first and then gradually increase.

Hi, I was using Red Sea X Nitrate & Phosphate Remover and then when with bio pellets ,I would say go for it I have a lot of fish in my tank and the pellets keep it all looking good .

Since you got it might as well do it, from all my research and helping others out that took the jump I have two words of wisdom. Go slow, add only third to half recommended amount and give it a month to colonize the correct bacteria. Test frequently, I have seen tanks where nothing happened for weeks with no change to nitrates and phos, then almost over night they started to drop really fast stressing everything out. So go SLOW and test fequently and you should be good. Also, as always, keep us updated!

Apex, Mp40 QD x2 , 2 Radion Gen3 LED Lights,with Reeflink. Aqua Max Em300 skimmer, Trigger Emerald Sump, Next Reef Gfo & carb, Neptun Current Tank Info: 200 DD Mixed Reef;-)
