Add stunner to AI?

SO I was thinking of doing the upgrade to the Vega whenever they finally come available, but at best that is going to cost $250 a fixture. So I was thinking of adding a Magenta Stunner strip and just have it come on during the main part of the light cycle. Since the only need I would fulfill from the Vega is fuller spectrum I would think this would do that. My question is this, what magenta? Stunner offers 3 different magentas, I have more than enough blue so I would assume just the straight magenta as the other two seem to have a bit of blue added and I dont need that. Also does anybody have a cheaper alternative for the power suppy? the one the have is $40 and I am just going to be running 1 maybe 2 stunners not 6.

They are not powerful enough to make a real difference. I had the thought but Aquarium Specialty and other reefers were quick to chime in.
