Maxi Jet 1200 too much for 29 gallon tank?

Hey guys so i had this maxi jet 1200 laying around in the house and i put it in my 29 gallon tank i have one clownfish in there and i don't know if he likes the flow or not i did direct the flow to a rock and there is still alot of movement. Do you guys think the clown will be okay? he looks that he is swimming fine but he struggles sometimes when he is swimming towards the flow.

Thanks

So long as he is not forced to swim in that flow constantly it should be fine. There should be some areas of the tank he can swim in without having to struggle to move around. I have MJ1200 in my 29 gallon QT tank.

Do you have the propeller or the impeller on the MJ?
