New Pressure Guage installed...wow?!?!

Been running without a pressure guage on my RODI for 6 months now, finally orderd and installed it... Ive been worried that i was running on too low of PSI and was wondering if I was getting the best performance out of the system..

Low and behold after installation, hooked it all up... Bam! it shot straight to 98PSI!

So now im worried i might have too much pressure. Can 100PSI damage the membrane? would it be in my best interest to go with one of those water saving additions as i have the PSI for it?

Gauge is oil filled and ranges from 0-100, drops down to 82 when i flush the toilet, until its finished filling, then goes back to 98ish-100+ ish

You'll be fine, more pressure the better. I think it has to get ridiculously high before it would cause damage.

you can also purcahse a flow restrictor. with that much pressure behind it a flow restrictor will restrict the flow to what is appropriate for the reactor getting more life out of your RODI and optimal water quality/efficiency.

Not sure which membrane you're running, but the filmtec 75GPD membranes are rated at 150psig max operating pressure so you won't ruin it.

When my pressure was 85, I wasn't able to get the right ratio of waste water to output water. If you don't have the ratio at least 3:1, you risk damaging your membrane.
