Nitrate testing equipment

I’m tired of comparing color wheels etc… and guessing if the results are accurate. Has anyone used a Nitrate testing probe with a digital readout with success? I was looking at the American Marine Pinpoint, but the reviews were terrible. I’m willing to pay a high price if the equipment is of quality, accurate, and has a long life. Any suggestions?

Here is a review that sums it up and I would say it is safe to assume this is true of all of these. The deal breaker for me would be cabibrating before each use and still not getting the same reading with multiple tests.

Like the pinpoint and saliity monotors. This device is not intended for continuous 'monitoring'. I was needing to calibrate it before each use and found it taking longer to calibrate and run my tests than it does to use my standard chemical nitrate test kit. So there is really no time saving here. The obvious major advantage over chemical nitrate test kits is the digital readout. Like most, I find color charts difficult to read. IMPORTANT - DON'T GET IT WET!!! Mine died from a small amount of salt water splashing on the display. I don't think I will buy another one because of the high pri
