RESTART on my 30 gallon reef tank

hey guys, so long story short my tank looks like DUMP

i decided to restart it all and make it look nice again but just wanna confirm what im doin so i can possibly get any other advice or be sure im doing this right

1.) going to remove 10 gallons of water in a huge bucket
2.) gonna remove live rock and scrub ALL the algae on the rocks in the water bucket, and basically clean it with a brush
3.) gonna remove corals set aside in a separate tank water bucket
4.) remove fish set aside in separate tank water bucket (allow airflow in bucket during this tedious process)
5.) siphon out live sand in a separate tank water bucket
6.) after the tank it then completely empty, clean ALL the glass, filters, powerheads, heaters, etc.
7.) add the live rock and sand back in
8.) add new saltwater, then acclimate corals and fish before adding back in

I have a marine eclipse 29 gallon tank, so alot of the beneficial bacteria has grown in the BIO wheel, although how bad will my cycle be after doing all this? Does this process seem okay for a restart on my tank?

Thanks alot

You are taking a big chance by removing the live rock & sand out of the tank... I would def. wait and test water params. before you put the livestock back in.

I think the more important question is why does you tank look like it does? If you remove things, scrub and put back it will be back to the way it was. I think you have to look into what kind of algae you have and why algae builds up. Then clean and fix what's needed so it doesn't happen again. Either way good luck with it.

Water changes, regular tank maintenance... without that, saltwater reef systems tend to turn into algae bombs....
