I have peeled a lot of anemones off rocks. It's not recommended but it works for me.
****dont blame me if you peel it and it kills it*******

if its healthy, it should stick to you or have a sticky feeling..and then release...
you could always re-arrange your rocks since he is attached to the rock... idk how big ur tank is, or how big the rock is, or what kind of corals you got all around your tank, but if its not alot, just turn the rock to your liking.. other than that, either an ice cube... and pointing a powerhead at him

Leave it alone. If it's healthy, it will move to a better spot where it's getting the right amount of light and flow.

BTAs are fairly hardy. Just let it be until it finds a suitable spot. If its tentacles are still sticky to the touch, then I'd say it's fine.
It's probably bulbed right now as it's trying to adjust to a different spot. Just make sure your powerheads are covered in case it decides to wander toward the flow. Once it finds a good spot, it should remain there unless the flow pattern changes drastically. |

You could move it if you'd like, but if he's not happy where you place him, he'll move again. My RBTA moved once from where I originally placed it, found its own spot and hasn't moved since.
The good thing about BTAs is they don't float around the tank as much as other anemones when they move. BTAs seem to move more within the rock work than they do through open water. |

Best to let it find its place and work with it. You don't want it going on a rampage when you go to bed. Good luck

yea dont try and move him at all. let the nem do its thing and find the sweet spot in your tank. when moving him to your likings you will most likely stress it out and could possibly die. im speaking from experience here. just let it pick its spot and be happy. the more you move it the more prone it is to live a short life. give it time and it will come out sooner or later.

I have had to move a RBTA (twice), and a condy. Easiest way to do it is: take the rock w/ the rbta on it out of the water, hang it upside down over a bowl of water, within 5-10 minutes it will release from the rock.

That won't cause long term damage to the nem?

Leave it. Even if you move it he will go where he wants. Mine moved around my tank for 3 weeks before settling in. Then 8 months later he moved to a different spot.

I took the condy back to the LFS was there for 2 weeks then they sold it. My other 2 RBTA still alive and kicking been 4-5 months since I did it.
A diver told me this method, due to the fact that is the way they use to get them off the rocks from the ocean.
