getting rid of eclipse hood for HOB filter w/ skimmer?

hey guys, so i have a eclipse 29 tank from marineland and i recently replaced the lights, and now want to get rid of the filter for a HOB protein skimmer

my question is now, would i have to get a HOB filter and skimmer or is there one with both in it? if so which would you recommend?

Trying to limit parts around the tank, but obviously I dont wanna be cheap when it comes to the filter and skimmer, i wanted the Remora since i hear alot of good stuff about it but i still want to run carbon/filtration, let me know whats my best route
