Certainly looks like an emerald crab or at the very least it looks a lot like what my LFS markets as emerald crabs.

Leave him in the sump. He will grow to become a pain if you have corals.

+1.... Finally caught and removed mine after witnessing him cut and eat tentacles from my torch.

I've had Emerald crabs for years that have never eaten coral. They ususally are just scavenging for detritus or algae. I think they are a great part of a good cuc.

Leave him in the sump, all crabs are opportunistic feeders and you never know what they will develop a taste for. I have had no crabs of any kind in my tank for many years and do not miss them, they do not really serve a good purpose.

Emerald crabs have always been hit or miss for me. I had 3 in my tank - 2 were model citizens and one ate duncan polyps for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In between he snacked on random euphyllia.

So I had to trap him and put him in the fuge. Catching crabs looks a lot easier on Deadliest Catch

I agree. If you feed him some small pieces of scallop a few times a week he will be too full to bug any coral
