Refractometer & Digital pH Meter

What's a good Refractometer brand? I was looking at this one from Bulk Reef Supply for $39.99 that includes calibration fluid. Is this one any good?

I'm assuming that Bulk Reef Supply is a reputable company? I'm just always leery of trying a new online vendor without getting some reviews.

Also, is a digital pH meter a good thing to have? I've read some people say that they don't even test for pH anymore if the Alkalinity, Calcium and Magnesium are in check.

Yes, that refactometer will do you a good job and yes BRS is a very reputable company.

I'm one of those that never check my PH but do keep my Mag. Cal. & Alk. in line. So I don't check it.

EDIT....If you get a PH meter you will drive yourself crazy chasing it around and that will do more harm than good.

+1, the BRS works great and Ph is kind of nice to know but if you keep your alkalinity in line not something to worry about unless the Ph drops to 7.7 or below.
