Angry peppermint shrimp eating my green star polyps

I was watching my green star polyps open and along comes my peppermint shrimp grabing and chowing down on a few....... do they normaly eat polyps? should i add a couple of shrimp to my salad tonight?????

When you think about it they eat aptasia so eating a fleshy coral isnt that far off from there diet im sure. Try and spot feed yours when you see them. Thats what I do with mine and I never have a issue.

Sometimes camel shrimp get confused with peppermint shrimp @.@

Mine did that, so I put him in the "naughty" section of my sump along with some damsels. Now I don't use a filter sock.

I had a confirmed peppermint shrimp attack a hammer coral almost killing it right before my eyes. Before that I had suspected them of eating the eye out of a new chalice frag killing it eventually. I caught both of mine with a trap and traded them. They can for sure turn to the dark side and turn into coral eaters.

My peppermint was eating my closed brain, never again will I get them shrimps....Get rid of them IMO...

i normally keep my peppermint in my sump. then bring him out to the tank when i see pest anemone.
