What do you mean by new? How long has your tank been up and running?

Start any coral low on the sand, then bring it up week by week closer to the lights until you find where it's happy.

For the sake of your other corals.....don't forget to dip your corals to get ride of ride-along pests.

Where is the link to do this? I have heard/read it a few times.. I just want to make sure that in 6 months when I am ready I already have it documented.

There are a number of different methods for this. I just use a coral dip from Seachem. Follow the bottle instructions and for the most part you are good to go. Dip the coral in the mix for around 10 minutes. Most the pests die and fall off with a little swish of the coral. I know there are a few pests that are hardier, but this seems to do a good job.
