Really can't tell,but it might be getting ready to split.Sometimes being put in a new enviroment will cause them to split.As long as it is foot is holding on good just wait it out.

The only thing I've done differnt was last night I added a capful of purple up. Would that of affected the bta?

It won't affect your BTA. But it has already affected your wallet sadly.

The purple up was a gift so no money wasted What sucks is that while my bta is shrivled up my blood shrimp is picking at it and harrassing it! please help would be appreciated!!!

If it did split it can take a while before it starts to look normal again. How good would you look if you just tore yourself in half
Assuming that they did split the best thing you can do is to make sure that your water parameters stay in check and don't do anything to stress either BTA out. They are fairly resilient creatures but they will take time to put themselves back together so to speak. |
