Zoo Med AquaSun T5-HO Double Light Linear Fluorescent Hood, 36-Inch
I have a set of these lights that I used on a planted freshwater tank. Does anybody have any experience with these in the saltwater world? I know it is a cheap light setup, but I will just barely be setting up a new saltwater tank, as soon as I can get its occupants sold. I would like to do a mixed reef tank of some sort.

Well for a starter light it might work for a few softies light Kenya tree or some mushrooms. If you do a fish only tank with live rock it would work. however it you are going to try to keep anything else you will need something that can put out more PAR.

Thanks Acro. Since I am just starting out in the hobby and this is my first saltwater tank, I will start with fish only but would eventually like to start moving into some mixed reef tanks. Thanks again.
