Down Sizing Questions

Looking for some suggestions for my down size project.
What I have set up now: 72 BF mainly soft corals, 6 fish, coral banded shrimp, hermits and snails, sand sifting star, 3" sand bed, 60#s of LR in tank, CPR overflow box, Amiracle sump, MAG 7 return pump, sea clone 100 skimmer, running GFO in a in a phosban 150, Lighting is a older Hamilton Tech 2x175 MH and 2 VHO.
What I plan to setup: 54 Corner, I want to use everything I can from my 72, only changes are Lighting and Filtration. Changing the light to a Coralife Aquapro 24" 150W MH and 2 65w PC, changing the skimmer to a aquac remora ran by a MJ 1200. Now to start on the filter, I'm using a canister filter on this setup. I choose a aquatop CF500UV, it has 4 media trays, and a UV light inside the filter. I plan to use a tray of Bioballs from whats in my sump now(theres not very many maybe a trays worth), I also plan to use a tray of rubble rock and a tray of carbon, the bottom tray I was going to leave with filter floss. Only plan to keep 2 fish a clown, and a blenny, and keep the coral banded shrimp, snails, crabs, and star.
I plan to run the canister on my 72 for a week, to help get it started. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
