LF Live Rock
Hey Y'all,
I finally have my tank up and running, as of this week. All the plumbing is working as designed, and it looks great as a centerpiece in the room with the island overflow Melev made for me. The lighting looks great too, in particular I am blown away by the True Violet LED moon light bar I built. The purple is so much more saturated than Actinic PC light. At this point, I just have the tank running with water and a 4.5" aragonite bed, as I haven't found a satisfactory source for cured live rock in San Francisco yet. I have searched this forum, and most of the recommended stores are an hour plus from me. Everywhere I have gone and looked, what is in the tanks looks more like base rock to me, no coralline, no little sponges, no corals, just drab brown rock in stagnant water as far as I could see. So that said, having not been to Neptune Aquatics yet because of the distance, does anyone know any stores closer to San Francisco with good cured LR? Or does anyone have 40-60 lbs. they are looking to part with? Thanks for the help!

Current Tank Info: 55G DT with DSB, 25G Sump/Refugium, Reef Octopus NWB-110 Skimmer, 6x65W PC Lighting, Actinic and 10K, with True Violet LED Moonlighting. Going to be running FOWLR to start, and transition to Reef as I get the hang of it. |
